The first runners by Harry Angel continue to flourish and on Monday, 26 September he added a 17th winner to his tally in very impressive fashion as his son Proverb routed his rivals over five furlongs at Hamilton.
The George Boughey-trained colt was soon in front under Kevin Stott and had opened up a clear lead by the halfway point. The result never looked in doubt as he moved further and further clear, eventually winning by seven lengths.
Proverb was bred by Nicky Hartery and is the first foal out of the winning Showcasing mare Posh Perfect, who is from the family of G1-winning sprinter Pipalong.
Harry Angel is also sire of G2-placed duo Marshman and Vicious Harry, plus multiple winners Felix Natalis, Bonny Angel and Revenite.
