Prince Eiji, a son of Dubawi, landed his first Group contest on Friday, 27 January in the G3 Firebreak Stakes. Run over a mile on the dirt at Meydan, the Doug Watson-trained gelding wasn't hard pressed to win by one-and-a-quarter lengths.
This was his second Stakes victory of the current Dubai season after a Listed win in December in the Dubai Creek Mile.
Bred by Meon Valley Stud, Prince Eiji is a son of the G1-winning Pivotal mare Izzi Top, who hails from the family of Kayf Tara.
Champion Dubawi has now sired four Group winners in 2023, two more than any other stallion in the world.
