Poet’s Voice adds a new winner to his record in style

G K Chesterton posts impressive four-and-a-half length victory at Redcar

First-season sire Poet’s Voice recorded a new winner in very impressive fashion at Redcar on 16 October when his son G K Chesterton romped to victory in the one-mile maiden.

The Godolphin colt, who is trained by Charlie Appleby, was settled just behind the early leader The Lynch Man and taking the lead a furlong from home, soon skipped clear and ran on superbly to win by four and a half lengths.

G K Chesterson is out of the G3-winning Bering mare Neptune’s Bride, also dam of G1 performer Sea Chariot and fellow Black type performer Submariner.

Poet’s Voice, Britain’s leading first-season sire, has now sired 11 individual winners including Ripon Champion Two-Year-Old Trophy victory Whitman, plus Stakes-placed colt Voice Of Love and four-time winner Bathos.
