First-season sire Casamento recorded his third individual winner on 23 June when his daughter Pandagreen ran out the gutsy winner of the seven-furlong two-year-old contest at Leopardstown.
Settled in mid division early on, the Gavin Cromwell-trained filly was badly hampered after two furlongs but finding her stride again, progressed smoothly from two furlongs out and took the lead close to home to win by half a length from Teofilo’s Lady Volante.
Pandagreen was bred by Thomas Cooke and is out of the Spinning World mare Special Touch and is from the family of G1 winner Ransom O’War.
Casamento is also sire of impressive winner Barrington - already rated 100 by Timeform, plus fellow winner Silver Casina. Casamento himself was beaten just a head in the G1 National Stakes on only his second start, before going on to a four-length victory in the G2 Beresford Stakes and rounded off his two-year-old campaign with victory in the G1 Racing Post Trophy.
