Paiardina, second in the Oaks d’Italia earlier this season, landed her first Stakes race on Sunday, 1st October when triumphing in the Listed Premio Archidamia. The three-year-old daughter of Casamento was winning her fourth race in eight career starts with this one-and-a-quarter-length triumph over 2000m at Rome.
Bred by Mrs C Hartery & J Dewberry, she is a daughter of the multiple-winning Sinndar mare Sinful Pleasure, who also has a two-year-old sister to Paiardina, named Immunity.
Paiardina is one of four Group performers from Casamento’s first crop including the fellow Italian Stakes-winner Stamp Collecting, French G3 filly Rythmique and G3 Horris Hill second Kings Gift. He already has two Stakes performers from his second crop including Whitefountainfairy, second in the G3 Prestige Stakes on her last start.
