Iffraaj’s talented three-year-old daughter Serena Miss threw herself into Classic contention in fine style on 26 October when successfully taking on a field of talented colts to win the G2 James & Annie Sartern Memorial at Te Rapa, New Zealand.
Already a G2 winner at two, she will now aim to better the boys again in the NZ 2,000 Guineas on 7 November before returning to competition with her own sex the following Saturday.
Bred by Goodwood Stud Limited, Serena Miss is the best of four winners out of Gifted Lass (More Than Ready).
Iffraaj has sired two southern hemisphere G2 winners in the past three days, following Turn Me Loose’s victory in the Crystal Mile at Moonee Valley on Saturday. Turn Me Loose himself won the G1 NZ 2,000 Guineas last year.
Closer to home, Iffraaj is responsible this year for impressive Mill Reef Stakes winner Ribchester plus G3 winner and G1 place-getter Magic Artist.
