First-season stallion Slade Power sired winner number seven on Saturday, 28 July when his son Balance Of Power easily broke his maiden at Newcastle. Making his second career start, he came from a long way back to easily win going away by a length-and-a-half in the style of a progressive colt.
Bred by Shadwell Estate, he was bought by current connections for 30,000Gns at Tattersalls Craven Breeze-up in April and is out of the Dubawi mare Classic Falcon. Twice a winner as a three-year-old. Classic Falcon is a half-sister to G3-winner Dingle View.
Slade Power is also sire of Stakes-performing filly Strings Of Life, multiple scorer Princess Power, who has won twice in July, and impressive Maiden winners Louis Treize and Hesslewood.
