Blue Point continues to fire in the winners, and on Tuesday 21 November he added a 48th individual successful runner when Good Point ran out a ready winner over five furlongs at Wolverhampton.
Bryan Smart’s charge was always prominent under jockey David Nolan and taking the lead two furlongs out, kept on well to win by three quarters of a length.
Good Point was bred by S Chappell and is out of the winning Kodiac mare She’s A Worldie, herself a three-parts sister to Stakes winner Riskit Fora Biscuit. He is also from the family of Harry Angel’s very useful Group winner Marshman.
Blue Point not only has a huge number of winners from his first crop, but also unrivalled quality. His 10 Black Type performers are headed by record-breaking G1 winner Rosallion, plus Royal Ascot winner Big Evs, who went on to G1 victory at this year’s Breeders’ Cup.
Blue Point stands at Kildangan Stud at a fee of €60,000, Oct 1, SLF.
