First-season sire Belardo recorded his second winner on Thursday, 11 June when his daughter Got Luck ran out the ready winner of the six-and-a-half-furlong maiden at Craon, France.
Soon in front under jockey Alex Roussel, Got Luck was ridden along once entering the home straight and was never seriously challenged, keeping to her task brilliantly to win by a length.
Got Luck was bred by M Monfort and is out of the winning Street Cry mare Pastiches, herself a daughter of G1 winner Nadia.
Belardo, a European Champion Juvenile who won the Dewhurst and went on to win the Lockinge, opened his winners’ account in fine style on Sunday, when Golden Melody made a successful debut at Haydock Park.
