New winner for Earthlight

Perfect Life wins comfortably at Wolverhampton on just his second start

First-season sire Earthlight registered a new impressive winner when his son Perfect Life won comfortably on just his second start over the extended mile at Wolverhampton on Friday, 20 December.

Placed handily throughout, Rossa Ryan took up the running rounding the home turn and kicked clear, maintaining his advantage all the way up to the line.

Bred by Kevin and Meta Cullen, Perfect Life is the sixth foal of Morning Jewel, an unraced half-sister to French and Irish 2,000 Guineas winner Bachir.

Earthlight has made an excellent start to his stud career, becoming the fastest stallion from the Shamardal line to sire a Group winner in Prix de Cabourg heroine Daylight, who went on to be placed in the G1 Prix Morny and G1 Chevely Park Stakes.

He will stand the 2025 season at Kildangan Stud at a fee of €12,500, Oct 1, SLF.
