New Stakes winner for Dubawi

Hamavi lands the Listed Prix Ridgway at ParisLongchamp

Hamavi, a three-year-old son of Dubawi, graduated into Stakes company with a victory on Sunday, 9 June when taking the Listed Prix Ridgway. Held up at the rear in the 2000m contest, he challenged inside the final 200m to win going away by three-quarters-of-a-length.

Owned and bred by Wertheimer Et Frere, Hamavi is out of the Stakes-winning mare Baahama, who has already produced two Group winners in Akihiro and Bartaba, both by Deep Impact. Baahama also has a yearling coly by Night Of Thunder named Overnight

Dubawi has now sired 14 Stakes winners in 2024 including four that have won at the highest level. His three-year-olds Notable Speech and Ezeliya were the thrilling winners of the 2,000 Guineas and Oaks, Rebel’s Romance has won G1’s in both UAE and Hong Kong, plus Master Of The Seas landed the G1 Maker’s Mark Mile at Keeneland in April.
