Night Of Thunder’s progressive three-year-old daughter Romantic Style added a first Group win, a second Stakes win and a third consecutive victory to her record on Tuesday, 9 April with a determined success in the G3 Prix Imprudence at Deauville.
The Godolphin filly was always close to the pace under William Buick and began to make headway with two furlongs left to run. Hitting the front inside the final furlong, Romantic Style kept on brilliantly from odds-on favourite Ramatuelle to win by half a length.
Romantic Style broke her maiden by three and a half lengths last September, before successfully stepping up in class to take the Listed Bosra Sham Stakes at Newmarket in November.
Bred by Wansdyke Farm, Sh Bloodstock, J Burke and Oghill, Romantic Style was a 550,000gns yearling and is a daughter of the G3-winning juvenile Sweety Dream, dam of two Stakes winners from two foals to race. The dam is herself a half-sister to multiple G2 winner Easter.
Night Of Thunder is Dubawi’s best proven stallion son, siring 37 Black Type winners to date and proving more profitable at last year’s sales than any other stallion standing at over €50,000, bar only Frankel.
