New G3 winner for Iffraaj
Dibajj, a three-year-old filly by Iffraaj, shared the spoils in the first Group race on trials day at Longchamp when dead-heating in the G3 Prix Petit Couvert. A progressive filly, she came here on the back of an excellent third in the G3 Prix de Meautry at Deauville, improving again at her first try over the minimum distance to record her third career triumph.
Bred by Cyril Humphris and sold as a yearling for €57,000, Dibajj is the first foal of Royal Applause mare Goleta, a half-sister to top-class sprinter Chineur. Goleta has been scanned in foal this season to new Darley stallion Rio de la Plata.
Iffraaj has been enjoying a tremendous time with his current crop of juveniles (his fourth crop), with six Stakes performers including Moyglare Stud Stakes heroine Rizeena, Stakes victor Hot Streak and German Group performer Magic Artist. His fifth crop are his best crop yet and are currently causing quite a splash at the yearlings sales with a €340,000 colt and a €300,000 filly at Arqana August.
