Three-time G1 winner Rebel’s Romance impressed on his 2024 debut when the wide-margin winner of the G3 HH The Amir Trophy at Doha in Qatar. Sent to the front under William Buick, the impressive son of Dubawi quickened clear in the straight to win very easily.
Now the winner of 11 of his 17 career starts, Rebel’s Romance completed a G1 hat-trick in 2022, culminating with a victory in the Breeders’ Cup Turf at Keeneland.
A Godolphin-homebred, Rebel’s Romance is the second Group winner bred by the Street Cry mare Minidress this year after Measured Time’s victory in the G1 Jebel Hatta at Meydan.
Dubawi has started 2024 in blistering form, and has now sired four Group or Stakes winners including Warren Point and Francesco Clemente, winners of G3s in Meydan and Gulfstream Park.
