Casamento’s son Glastonbury Song was well fancied to make a successful racecourse debut and he certainly didn’t disappoint as he ran out the impressive winner of the seven-furlong maiden at Dundalk on 30 September.
Settled off the pace early on, Ger Lyons’ charge began to make headway with three furlongs left to run and taking the lead a furlong out, soon stretched clear to win by two and a quarter lengths.
Glastonbury Song was bred by Tinnakill Bloodstock and is out of Nesmeh, a full sister to multiple Stakes winner Ready Racer and a daughter of Prestige Stakes winner Freefourracing.
Casamento has now sired 11 individual winners, including three who are rated 90 or over in Barrington, Noivado and Kings Gift. He has six yearlings catalogued at the upcoming Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Part 2.
