The much-anticipated first two-year-olds by World Champion sprinter Harry Angel are expected to hit the track running when the new turf season begins, and Darley is offering one lucky breeder the opportunity to win their 2022 nomination for free.
Everyone who books a nomination to Harry Angel before he sires his first winner (including those who have already signed contracts for the 2022 season) will be entered into a prize draw, with the winner receiving their nomination completely free of charge.
Early signs from his first crop look very promising indeed, and the word on the street is he’ll be off the mark very soon! According to trainer William Stone, his filly by Harry Angel is, “Doing everything right, she is the most precocious of our two-year-olds.
“We’re aiming for her to be out early, with the Brocklesby her intended target.”
Meanwhile, Harry Angel’s former trainer Clive Cox said of his colt out of Red Box who topped the Doncaster Premier Yearling Sale, “I actually underbid this colt at the sale and so was delighted when I was asked to train him. He reminds me so much of Harry Angel and was by far and away the best horse I saw on the complex at Goffs.
“He is doing well, is very forward going and I could not be happier with him’’
Full terms and conditions for the draw can be found here.
Harry Angel broke his maiden in the G2 Mill Reef, before going on to land the G1 Darley July Cup and G1 Sprint Cup (winning the latter by four clear lengths). He also broke the track record at Haydock in the G2 Sandy Lane Stakes and finished ahead of Blue Point in the G1 Commonwealth Cup.
His first yearlings sold for up to £220,000 in Europe, while he has been a first-season sire sensation at the sales in Australia this year.
