Australian-bred Shamardal mare Artistry recorded her second career Group win in good style on 1 November, sweeping home to take the G3 Hong Kong Jockey Club Stakes at Flemington.
Racing at the rear of the field for much of the seven-furlong contest, Artistry demonstrated her superb turn of foot to power home and win by half a neck.
Artistry was bred by Amarina Farm and is out of Lady Peony (Belong To Me), who is from the family of G1 winners Cronus and Samantha Miss.
Shamardal has sired 21 individual Stakes winners this year, headed by G1-winning trio Dariyan, Speedy Boarding and Tryster.
In the big race of the day, the Melbourne Cup, Authorized's G1-winning son Hartnell put up another tremendous performance to finish third.
Authorized stands at Haras du Logis in Normandy at a fee of €10,000 1st October SLF.
