Master, a two-year-old son of Territories, won his first Stakes race on Sunday, 5 November in the G3 Premio Guido E Alessandro Berardelli in Rome. Run over 1800m, he battled gamely on the soft ground in the straight, to record a narrow win over Diomede, the pair pulling three-and-a-half lengths of the third.
Owned and bred by Scuderia Blueberry, Master is a daughter of the winning Kyllachy mare Mia Kyllachy, a half-sister to Italian Champion miler Poeta Diletto (Poet’s Voice).
Territories has been enjoying an excellent 2023 highlighted by the G1 Sprint Cup win of the progressive Regional. His fourth crop, juveniles of 2023, now includes six Group performers which can only be beaten by four stallions in Europe: Dubawi, No Nay Never, Wootton Bassett and Havana Grey. All those will be covering next season at a fee of £55,000 or higher whereas Territories 2024 fee will be £10,000!
At Deauville in France, Iffraaj’s evergreen son Fast Raaj won his fifth career Stakes race when taking the Listed Prix Irish River over 1400m.
The five-year-old has now nine of his 22 starts including the G3 Prix Messidor and Listed Grand Prix Anjou Bretagne earlier this season.
Iffraaj will be standing at a fee of £10,000 at Dalham Hall Stud in 2024.
