Dubawi sired a new Group winner on Sunday, 4 June when his three-year-old daughter Ottery landed the G3 Prix de Royaumont over 2400m at Chantilly. Held up in the rear, she ran on well to overhaul her paternal half-sister Boogie Woogie inside the final 200m to record her first Stakes victory.
Bred by Al Shahania Stud and bought by Juddmonte Farms for 800,000gns as a yearling, Ottery is the first Stakes winner bred by the G2-winning mare Longina.
Champion Dubawi has now sired 21 Stakes winners in 2023 including leading miler and future Darley stallion Modern Games and fellow top-flight winners Lord North and In Italian.
