Daylight an impressive new winner for Earthlight

Debutante leads from pillar to post to record four-and-a-half-length victory at Chantilly

First-season sire Earthlight recorded an eye-catching new winner on Thursday 2 May when his daughter Daylight won at the first time of asking at Chantilly.

Sent straight to the front under Cristian Demuro, Daylight dominated throughout the six-furlong contest and eventually won by four and a half lengths.

She was bred by S.C.E.A. Ecurie Haras Du Cadran and is out of the Stakes-winning, Group-placed mare Latita (Silver Frost).

Earthlight is also sire of fellow first-time-out winner Lady Lightning, who could reappears in the Lily Agnes at Chester next week.

Earthlight was himself an outstanding juvenile, winning the G1 Prix Morny before taking the G1 Middle Park in record time.
