First-season sire Slade Power sired a new winner on Friday, 26 October when his son Dan made all the running to win well over a mile at Angers. Making his second career start, he was sent to the front straight from the stalls before quickening clear on the home bend to record a facile two-and-a-half length triumph.
Bred by Biddestone Stud, Dan is a daughter of the Exceed And Excel mare Moonlit Garden, who was Stakes-placed as a juvenile and has already produced a Group-placed juvenile performer in Mokaatil.
Slade Power is also sire of G3-colt Bruce Wayne, the Stakes-placed pair Jack’s Point and Strings Of Life, four-time scorer Princess Power, and the hugely impressive debutant winner Chairmanoftheboard, rated 96p by Timeform after his victory at Goodwood and the likely favourite in tomorrow’s G3 Horris Hill Stakes at Newbury.
