Casamento sired his second new Irish winner of the weekend on Sunday 10 July when his son Noivado landed the six furlong maiden at Fairyhouse. Coming on the back of his paternal half-brother Giselle’s Charm victory on Friday night, he was buried in behind the leaders and after forcing his way through in the straight, he ran on gamely to the line to record a first success.
Bred by Corrib Racing, Noivado is out of the four-time winning Hawk Wing mare Maybe I Will, who is herself a half-sister to G1-winner Chachamaidee.
Casamento, the winner of the G1 Racing Post Trophy as a juvenile, has now sired six individual winners, all coming since the end of May. Amongst them are the impressive Windsor scorer Barrington and the Leopardstown heroine Pandagreen.
