Kildangan Stud opens its doors on Friday, 1 February when its ten stallions will be paraded for breeders from 11am to 3pm with commentary from Robert Hall of RTE.
Among those on show are first-season superstars Teofilo and Manduro, who was recently acknowledged as the best horse in the world in 2007 with the publication of the World Thoroughbred Rankings.
New to Kildangan, but not to Darley, are Dubawi and Tiger Hill (pictured), both of whom stood last year at Dalham Hall Stud in Newmarket. Dubawi enjoyed his finest hour in Ireland with a two-length victory over Oratorio in the Irish 2,000 Guineas in 2005. He will have his first yearlings offered at auction this year alongside the first British-conceived crop of Tiger Hill, who started his stud career in Germany and transferred Newmarket in 2006.
Also on parade will be Kheleyf, Bertolini, Iffraaj, King's Best, Refuse To Bend and, of course, Kildangan stalwart Cape Cross, sire of the great Ouija Board and fellow six-time Group One-winning mare Seachange in New Zealand.
All are welcome at the stud, which is in Monasterevin, Co Kildare. For further information, please contact Mick Buckley on +353 (0)45 527600
