Hanting, a juvenile son of Harry Angel, won his first Stakes race on Saturday, 16 November when winning the G3 Premio Guido e Alessandro Berardelli. Run over 1800m in Milan, he impressed with a three-and-a-half length victory, with six lengths back to the third.
He has now won three of this five career starts, with a third and fourth in Listed company completing his excellent debut season.
Bred by Trebles Halford Farm Thoroughbreds and a 35,000gns yearling last season, Hanting is out of the Nathaniel mare Hinting, a daughter of G2 winner Innuendo.
Hinting has produced two winners by Harry Angel with Pegasus Of Harry also winning this season. She also has a filly foal by the World Champion sprinter.
Harry Angel has sired nine Stakes winners in 2024 including G1-filly A Lilac Rolla and G3 Greenham hero Esquire. In Australia, Arkansaw Kid won a G2 at Flemington and Angel Capital a G3 at Caulfield.
Harry Angel will cover the 2025 season at a fee of £10,000.
