Point Lynas became Iffraaj’s 100th individual Stakes winner as he produced an exciting career best performance to land the Listed Pomfret Stakes at Pontefract on Sunday, 28 July.
Trained by Ed Bethall, the five-year-old gelding made all throughout the mile contest, going clear with over a furlong to run he went on to win unchallenged by an impressive five and a half lengths. His next possible targets could be either the G2 Celebration Mile at Goodwood or the G3 Strensall Stakes at York next month.

Bred by Rabbah Bloodstock Ltd, Point Lynas is one of three winners out of Initially (Dansili), she is an own sister to G2-scorer, Aviate and G3 Prix La Rochette hero, Early March.
Amongst Iffraaj’s 100 Stakes winners are 49 individual Group scorers. 12 of those have won at the highest level with his most recent being Audience who landed the G1 Lockinge Stakes at Newbury in the Spring. Point Lynas is Iffraaj’s eighth Stakes winner so far this year.
