Tribalist, Farhh’s brilliant five-year-old son, gained his first victory at the top level in the Prix du Moulin de Longchamp. Sent straight to the front in the one mile contest, he was always clear of his field and held on in the straight to beat elite four-year-old Charyn, with Henry Longfellow (Dubawi) back in third.
Now the winner of six Group victories, he will likely head to the Prix de la Foret on Arc weekend, before a possible tilt at the Breeders’ Cup Mile.
Bred by Car Colston Hall Stud, Tribalist is a son of the Nathaniel mare Fair Daughter, who is a half-sister to G1-wining juvenile Crowded House and from the extended family of G1 winners Brando, Ticker Tape and Reckless Abandon. It has been a good weekend for Fair Daughter after Fair Point (also by Farhh) landed a valuable handicap at Ascot yesterday.
Farhh has now sired three G1 winners, all at a mile, after King Of Change in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes and Fonteyn in the Sun Chariot. He is also the sire of recent German G2 winner Tiffany, and a brace of Group-winning three-year-olds this season in Off Trail and Atlast.
