The well-bred Elizabeth Jane became the latest Stakes winner by Dubawi as she gained a second career success with a comfortable victory in the ten furlong Listed Trigo Stakes at Leopardstown, Ireland on Sunday, 20 October.
The lightly raced Dermot Weld-trained filly, who earlier in the year finished a creditable fourth in the G1 Irish Oaks, was tucked in behind the leaders, travelling well she made good progress on the outside with two furlongs to run and made her challenge as the field entered the final furlong. She soon got her head in front and went clear to score by a length and three-quarters.

Owned and bred by Moyglare Stud Farm Ltd, Elizabeth Jane is one of four winners out of the Champion mare, Sapphire (Medicean), she is a daughter of Polished Gem who is responsible for an incredible 10 winners, five are Champions, one of which is Champion Stayer, Kyprios.
Elizabeth Jane became Dubawi’s 31st individual Black Type winner so far this year. Of those four are top flight winners – Notable Speech and Ezeliya who are both Classic winners, his amazing globe-trotting son, Rebel’s Romance, has notched up three G1 wins this year and Master of the Seas landed the G1 Maker's Mark Mile in Keeneland.
