Fifth winner for Vale Of York

His son Great Park wins well on debut at Newcastle

Breeders' Cup Juvenile hero Vale Of York sired his fifth individual winner on Thursday June 26 when his son Great Park won well on his debut at Newcastle. Always near the front rank in the six furlong contest, he showed great tenacity in the final furlong to win by a neck.

Bred by Brinkley Stud, Ficomontanino and Bego Blu, Great Park is a daughter of the winning Marju mare Telesina, herself a daughter of G2-juvenile Seraphina and from the immediate family of Cheveley Park Stud Stakes heroine Serious Attitude.

Vale Of York is also the sire of the unbeaten Fontanelice, winner of two Listed races in Italy, the highly-rated Haxby, who ran with great credit at Royal Ascot, debutant winner Sunny York and Ripon maiden scorer Olivia Fallow.
