New Group winner for King’s Best
King’s Best, sire of 20 individual Black type performers last year including G1-winning sprinter King’s Apostle, opened his 2010 Stakes account on 17 January when his son Eishin Flash landed the G3 Keisei Han - widely recognised as a trial for the Japanese 2,000 Guineas - at Nakayama in Japan.
This was the first Black type victory for the three-year-old colt, who was placed in a Listed contest at Kyoto last October and has now won three times and been placed once from five starts.
Bred by Shadai Farm, Eishin Flash is out of G2 winner Moonlady (Platini), who was bought carrying the colt at the 2006 Tattersalls December Sale.
King’s Best stands alongside his G1-winning son Creachadoir at Haras du Logis in France. Their fees are €15,000 and €4,500 respectively.
