Singspiel, sire of no fewer than 21 Black type performers last year including G1-winning trio Dar Re Mi, Eastern Anthem and Hibaayeb, wasted little time in opening his 2010 Stakes account when his son Live Concert took the G3 Kyoto Kimpai in Japan on 5 January.
In winning the one-mile contest, the six-year-old was recording his third Black type having landed two Listed contests over the same distance last year.
Bred by Mrs J Chandris, Live Concert is out of the unraced Kingmambo mare Dance Lively, herself a half-sister to three Stakes winners.
Singspiel, who has sired 12 G1 winners during his illustrious stud career, stands at Dalham Hall Stud at a fee of £15,000 October 1st Special live foal.
