The first runners by Darley stallion Iffraaj could hardly have made a better impression on the racecourse and on 8 August another of his offspring - Espirita - posted an eye-catching performance when winning at Deauville.
Settled in third position, the Elie Lellouche-trained filly began to quicken inside the final two furlongs and once in front, soon moved clear to win the seven-and-a-half furlong contest by two lengths.
Bred by S C A La Perrigne & Elevage De Courteilles, Espirita is the fourth winner out of the unraced Warning mare Belle Esprit, a full sister to multiple Group winner Torch Rouge and a great-granddaughter of the mighty Reprocolor.
