Exceed And Excel two-year-old Sajwah posted her first stakes victory in the Listed Dick Poole Fillies’ Stakes over six furlongs (1200m) on Thursday.
The Shadwell Estate Company-bred filly is out of the Linamix mare Tahrir and became the first Listed winner for trainer Charlie Hills, who recently took over from his father Barry.
Sajwah won on debut at Warwick in May over the same distance and was fifth on her most recent previous outing in the G2 Cherry Hinton Stakes at Newmarket. She holds an entry for the G1 Cheveley Park Stakes later this month.
Exceed And Excel continues to enjoy a superb season which has included impressive performances from the G1 Nunthorpe Stakes winner Margot Did, dual Group 2 winner Excelebration and unbeaten juvenile filly Best Terms.
