Cloud Cover, a four-year-old daughter of Night Of Thunder, won her first Stakes race on Saturday, 14 December when taking the Listed Prix Miss Satamixa at Deauville. Run over 1500m, she took her career winning tally to six with a narrow victory.
Bred by Rabbah Bloodstock, Cloud Cover is the first Stakes winner bred out of the Street Cry mare Hokkaido, who hails from the extended family of leading young Japanese stallion Tower Of London (Raven’s Pass).
Night Of Thunder has now sired 20 Stakes winners in 2024 including eight that have won at Group level. They are led by G1 Irish Champion hero Economics and unbeaten juvenile Desert Flower, winner of G1 Fillies’ Mile at Newmarket. He is standing in 2025 at a fee of €150,000.
