Darley stallions won two Stakes races at Newmarket on Saturday, 1 July.
The big race of the day was the G3 Criterium Stakes over seven furlongs and this fell to Iffraaj’s son Audience, in the process winning his first Stakes race.
Making all the running, the Cheveley Park Stud homebred recorded a two-length victory. He is a son of the Stakes winner Ladyship, who is herself the daughter of multiple G1 winner Peeress.
🏇 Audience (14/1) returns from a nine-month absence with a commanding success in the Group 3 Criterion Stakes under Rab Havlin for John & Thady Gosden plus @CPStudOfficial. Next month's Group 2 Lennox Stakes now looks more likely than his handicap entries. @houseofcavani pic.twitter.com/kJYlg2SCxb

The race previous was won by Dubawi’s son Kemari, who was winning his second Stakes race in the Listed Fred Archer Stakes. A previous winner of a G2 at Royal Ascot, he was always prominent and just defied Outbox, with New London, another son of Dubawi, in a fast-finishing third.
Kemari holds on from a front running position to take the Cavani Menswear Sartorial Sprint Fred Archer Stakes under @the_doyler. 🥇💙
