Making her first start for Paddy Twomey in Ireland, Dubawi’s four-year-old daughter Final Gesture ran away with the Listed Vintage Tipple Stakes at Gowran Park when winning by five lengths. Previously trained in France by Henri-Alex Pantall, where she placed at Stakes level, she was sold to her new connections at Arqana last December for €925,000.
Bred by Godolphin, Final Gesture is the daughter of the three-time Stakes winner Secret Gesture, who was also placed in the Oaks. From four runners, she has produced three Stakes performers including Dream Of Love, a Shamardal three-year-old who heads to Newmarket this weekend for the 1,000 Guineas.
Dubawi has now sired 16 Stakes winners in 2023, three more than his nearest rival. They include top-flight scorers Lord North and In Italian, and G2 winners Al Suhail, Master Of The Seas, and Valiant Prince.
