Tribalist, a progressive son of Farhh, recorded further Black Type success on Monday, 1 May when landing the 1600m G2 Prix du Muguet at Saint-Cloud in France.
This is a third career Stakes win for the Godolphin-owned colt who began his season a month ago with an easy win over course and distance in the G3 Prix Edmond Blanc. Last year Tribalist won the Listed Prix Matchem and was also an impressive third in the G1 Poule d’Essai des Poulains.
Another front running performance saw the André Fabre-trained colt lead the field under Mickael Barzalona, stretching clear in the final furlong he was unchallenged going to the line to win by one and a quarter lengths from Facteur Cheval (Ribchester) back in second and Erevann (Dubawi) finishing third.
Bred in Great Britain by Car Colston Hall Stud, Tribalist is out of the unraced mare, Fair Daughter (Nathaniel), herself a half-sister to G1 victor Crowded House and Forest Crown, dam of G3-winner Forest Of Dean. Fair Daughter also has a two-year-old filly in-training by Farhh.
Farhh is the sire of G1 winners Fonteyn (Sun Chariot Stakes) and King Of Change (QEII Stakes), plus Royal Ascot G2 hero Move Swiftly and Derby and Gold Cup runner-up Dee Ex Bee.
