Darley stallions won two Group races at Goodwood on Saturday, 27 August with victories for progeny of Dubawi and Territories.
First to strike was Fairy Cross, a juvenile daughter of Dubawi, who made all the running in the G3 Prestige Stakes. Given a canny front-running ride by William Buick, she didn’t see another rival in the seven-furlong contest, winning by one length.
A Godolphin homebred, Fairy Cross is the third foal of the Classic-placed Devonshire (Fast Company). From the family of G1-winning sprinter Winter Power, Devonshire also has a yearling colt by Blue Point, a colt foal by Ghaiyyath and is in foal to Pinatubo this season.
Two races later Territories' three-year-old son Hoo Ya Mal remained on the St Leger trail with a facile victory in the G3 March Stakes. Also ridden by William Buick, the Derby second had little trouble beating his three rivals by upwards of two-and-a-half lengths.

Bred by Mean Valley Stud, Hoo Ya Mal is one of seven winners bred by the Montjeu mare Sensationally, who is herself a daughter of G1 winner One So Wonderful.
Ho Ya Mal, who was bought pre-Royal Ascot for £1,200,000, is one of four Stakes winners this year for Territories after US Graded heroine Rougir, Irish Stakes-winning sprinter Teresa Mendoza and the highly rated Aldaary.
