European Champion Cracksman sired his first winner on Saturday, 21 May when his first-crop daughter Aloa won on debut at Milan. This wasn’t the only first for the January foaled filly who also made headlines two years ago as the first foal to be born by the dual Champion Stakes winner.

Aloa was bred by W & R Barnett and sold at the Tattersalls Book 2 yearling sale by Newsells Park Stud. She is a three-parts sister to Stakes-placed Vento di Passioni, out of a winning own-sister to G1 Irish 1000 Guineas heroine Just The Judge (Lawman). They are out of a half-sister to dual G1 performer High Heeled, a daughter of the G2-winning Turtle Island mare Uncharted Haven.
Cracksman was the winner of his only start at two, going on to be crowned Champion at both three and four following two dominant displays in the G1 Champion Stakes. The best son of Frankel has been well supported at stud and his first yearlings were extremely well received last autumn making up to 410,000gns at the sales.
