Only The Brave, a four-year-old son of Iffraaj, landed his first Group race on Sunday, 17 October when winning the G3 Baden-Württemberg-Trophy. Run over 2000m at Baden-Baden in Germany, he battled gamely to get on top near the finish to beat Dato.
Now the winner of five career starts, Only The Brave was recording his second Stakes triumph of 2021 after the Listed Preis von Dahlwitz back in May.
Bred by Ecurie des Monceaux, Only The Brave is a son of the Group-placed mare Crystals Sky (Hernando). He is her third foal and both his older siblings have also won Stakes races in Cashman and Chameur.
Iffraaj has sired 11 Stakes winners in 2021 with seven that have now triumphed at Group level including Land Of Legends, Western Empire, Forest Of Dean, Kitty Marion and Fast Raaj.
