Dubawi’s juvenile daughter Concert Hall landed her first Stakes race on Sunday, 26 September when triumphing in the G3 Weld Park Stakes at the Curragh. Run over seven furlongs, she looked in trouble two furlongs from home, but producing a power-packed finish, swooped late to win going away by a length.
Bred by the Was Syndicate, Concert Hall is the third winner bred by the 2002 Oaks heroine Was. From the extended family of New Approach, Was is a sister to two Group winners including Derby third Amhran Na Bhfiann.
Concert Hall is the ninth Stakes winner bred on the Dubawi X Galileo-mare cross that includes top young stallion Night Of Thunder and world Champion Ghaiyyath.
With 31 Stakes winners and 20 Group winners in 2021, Dubawi leads all global stallions. They include eight just this month including G1-winning juvenile Albahr, G2 scorers Benbatl and Glorious Journey, plus two-year-old colt Modern Games, winner of G3 Somerville Tattersall Stakes earlier in the week at Newmarket.
