Buratino’s three-year-old son Snapraeterea landed his second Stakes race of the season on Saturday, 7 August when taking the Listed Platinum Stakes at Cork. Sent straight to the front in the seven-furlong contest, he never saw another rival, coming clear to win easily by four lengths.
Owned and bred by J P Farrell, Snapraeterea is a half-brother to dual G3-placed Snapraeceps and a full-brother to this season’s winning juvenile Snapius. They are out of the winning Alamshar mare Snap Alam, who is from the extended family of G1 Breeders’ Cup Turf hero and Champion Kalanisi.
Winner of the G2 Coventry Stakes as a two-year-old, Buratino supplied 20 winners in 2021 including five winning juveniles.
