The Julie Camacho-trained Judicial proved that age is just a number when taking the Listed Queensferry Stakes at Chester on Sunday, 1 August, taking his Stakes tally to six.
Settled midfield, the nine-year-old began to pick up at the two furlong pole under jockey Callum Rodriguez. Pulled wide, Judicial forged a path up the centre of the track, pulling clear in the final furlong to take back-to-back editions of the six furlong contest.
Owned and bred by Elite Racing Club, Judicial is a half-brother to dual G1-winning sprinter Marsha out of the Listed-winning Marju mare Marlinka. She is the best performer out of a Barathea half-sister to Elite Racing Club’s own European Champion Soviet Song and the dam of G1 Prix Jean Romanet heroine Ribbons.
Judicial is the tenth Stakes winner for Iffraaj this season following G2 Western Australian Derby winner Western Empire, G3 Winter Derby victor Forest Of Dean and G3 Prix Djebel hero Fast Raaj.
