Dubawi sired his 10th three-year-old Stakes winner of 2021 when his French-bred daughter Valloria added the Listed Prix Volterra to her record at Longchamp on Sunday, 13 June.
Racing prominently, the filly showed an impressive turn of foot, quickening away at the 400m marker under jockey Cristian Demuro to win by three-quarters of a length.
Bred by Haras de Saint Pair, Valloria is a half-sister to G1 Prix de Moulin hero Vadamos and dual Listed winner Volfango. They are out of the Stakes-winning Peintre Celebre mare Celebre Vadala, a half-sister to dual G1 winner Valixir and the dam of G1 Prix Saint-Alary victrix Vazira. The second dam Vadlamixa is a half-sister to G1 Breeders’ Cup Mile winner Val Royal and this is the family of Teofilo’s G1 Irish St Leger winner Voleuse de Coeurs.
Dubawi has sired 20 Stakes winners in 2021, a figure unmatched by any other European stallion. His Group winners this season include G1 Dubai Turf winner Lord North and G3 Craven Stakes victor Master Of The Seas, who was narrowly denied in the G1 Two Thousand Guineas.
Last week, Dubawi also struck at the highest level as a broodmare sire with his daughter Anna Salai producing the G1 Derby hero Adayar.
