The progeny of Night Of Thunder enjoyed great success on both sides of the globe on Saturday, 8 May.
In Australia, his three-year-old son Cherry Tortoni gained his third Stakes victory with an impressive win in the Listed Adelaide Guineas. The winner of the G2 Moonee Valley Vase earlier in the season, he has been competing at the highest level and recorded an excellent second in the G1 Australian Guineas back in February.
Night Of Thunder’s European-bred Raadobarg looks another three-year-old destined for a higher level when impressing with his second victory at Thirsk in a one-mile Novice.
Bred by Pier House Stud, he was a £200,000 yearling purchase by Alex Elliott for owners Amo Racing, and the Roger Varian-trained colt was hardly out of second gear to record a two-and-a-quarter length victory. Raadobarg has now won both his starts this season.
In Ireland, Night Of Thunder sired his 21st first-crop Stakes performer, at a very impressive 24% Stakes horses to runners, when Thunder Kiss was a narrow second in the G3 Blue Wind Stakes at Naas.
The Newtown Anner Stud-bred filly is lightly raced for a four-year-old and she was gaining her first Black Type on her sixth start and first foray into Group company.
