Night Of Thunder looks to have a very promising filly for the current season in Suesa, who ran out the ready winner of the G3 Prix Sigy at Chantilly on Tuesday, 20 April.
Always in touch under Olivier Peslier, Suesa was asked to quicken once entering the final two furlongs and demonstrated an impressive turn of foot to take the lead and soon move clear. She eventually won the five-and-a-half-furlong contest by three and a half lengths and took her tally of Stakes wins to two in the process.
Bred by Thomastown Farm, Suesa is out of the unraced Orpen mare Sally Is The Boss and is from the extended family of Brocade (dam of Barathea and Gossamer).
Night Of Thunder is sire of 19 worldwide Black Type winners to date, including last year’s Dante and Jersey Stakes victors. His 14 Group or Listed winners from his first crop cannot be better by any other stallion since the Pattern began.
