First-season sire Buratino added a new winner to his tally on Monday, 13 July when his daughter Bora de l’Alguer made a successful debut at Chilivani, Italy.
The Glada Menato-trained filly readily won the one-mile conditions contest, crossing the line three lengths ahead of her nearest rival, with almost the same distance back to the third-placed horse.
Bora de l’Alguer was bred in Ireland by Golden Vale Stud and becomes the third winner from three foals to race out of Rose Buck (Acclamation). Rose Buck is herself out of a half-sister to G1 winner Polar Prince.
Buratino was a very smart two-year-old, winning the Woodcote in a faster time than Pinatubo and the G2 Coventry faster than Calyx.
Buratino is also sire of dual winner Grand Heaven, plus fellow successful runners Snapraeterea and Tinochio.
