Fast Company recorded his first Black Type winner of the new year in fine style on Wednesday, 8 January when his son Doctor Geoff ran out the easy victor of the G3 January Cup at Sha Tin.
Breaking smartly from the stalls, Doctor Geoff was settled in second position for much of the nine-furlong contest, before being ridden along approaching the two-furlong marker. He soon took the lead once entering the home straight and kept on brilliantly to win by a length and a half.
This was his fifth career win and second at Stakes level, having won the Listed Tetrach Stakes at three.
Doctor Geoff was bred in Ireland by DDE Syndicate and is out of the multiple winner More Respect (Spectrum), herself a half-sister to multiple Stakes winner Magic Eye.
Fast Company stands at Kildangan Stud at a fee of €12,000, Oct 1, SLF.
