The Nominations department at Dalham Hall Stud has recently welcomed a new member to the team in David Appleton.
David comes to Darley from Elliott Bloodstock Services where he worked alongside Alex Elliott for the last three years. His primary focus whilst with Alex was pedigree analysis and form horses, working with trainers including Michael Dods and Brian Ellison, for whom he acted as a purchasing agent, as well as selling nominations for Elwick Stud.
David is a lifelong racing fan and considers coming to Dalham Hall Stud as a child with his father to see Dubai Millennium as one of the reasons for his passion for horses and racing.
David said, “I am delighted to be joining the team here at Dalham Hall Stud.
“Our European stallion rosters are a who’s who of racing superstars and it’s amazing to be a part of that.
“I am looking forward to meeting many of our breeders at the forthcoming sales and showing our stallions to them’’.
“With three hugely exciting new sires joining our ranks for 2020 in dual European Champion Too Darn Hot, 2018 Epsom Derby Winner Masar, and 2019 Cartier Champion Sprinter Blue Point (all standing alongside their own illustrious fathers: Dubawi, New Approach and Shamardal) plus the rest of our established roster, my arrival could not have come at a better time’’.
