Dubawi’s top-class staying son Ispolini added another Group win on Sunday, 15 September when triumphing in the G3 Deutsches St Leger. The winner of the G3 Nad Al Sheba Trophy back in February, jockey James Doyle gave him a perfect ride to win with something to spare by nearly a length.
Bred by Newsells Park Stud, he is a son of the G2-winning mare Giant’s Play, a daughter of G1-winning juvenile Playful Act, who is a three-parts sister to Nathaniel.
Dubawi leads the world in 2019 by number of individual Stakes winners (30) and individual Group winners (21). Amongst his four top-flight scorers are Europe’s best three-year-old miler Too Darn Hot, wide-margin scorer Ghaiyyath and Saturday’s Woodbine winner Old Persian.
