Square de Luynes, a four-year-old son of Manduro, added a second Group victory this season when decisively taking the G3 Marit Sveaas Minnelop at Ovrevoll on Sunday, 25 August. Setting the pace early under jockey Pat Cosgrave, the colt pulled clear in the last 400m to add another impressive victory after his demolition in the G3 Oslo Cup in June.
Out of the Listed winning Power Girl (Dashing Blade) and bred by Jaqueline Beres, Square de Luynes is a half-brother to the Listed winning and G3 placed Glowing Cloud. This is the family of G1 Deutsches Derby victor Pik Koenig and G2 German Two Thousand Guineas hero Philipo.
Manduro is the sire of six individual G1 winners including Prix Jean Romanet heroine Ribbons, multiple G1 winner Vazirabad and French Champion Juvenile Ultra.
